For as long as I remember, I've always loved drawing. Illustrated story books and comics were fixtures in the house when I was growing up and were a constant inspiration for my pursuit of this medium. Reading fiction, in particular, provided an escape from reality into a world of fantasy, myth and heroes. Illustration is an extension of that world that I can create for myself. Capturing thoughts and ideas in visual form and conveying them to others is a challenge that intrigues me. My aspirations are to continue the great tradition of visual storytelling that inspired me so much as a child, creating a world for the viewer's escape.

Jeffrey Forbes received his Bachelors Degree in Illustration/Design Arts from The Memphis College of Art. Jeffrey currently resides in Memphis, Tennessee with his wife Sonya, who is an Art Educator and freelance artist.
